Family Teams - Succession Planning

Dr. Tim Ursiny, Zach Ursiny

Hosted by Marybeth Emson

Family Teams present unique joys, opportunities and challenges in an advisory business but UNTIL NOW coaching and support did not recognize their unique dynamics.

APIC is on the cutting edge of helping to develop specialized resources. Come join us for this highly interactive program that will allow existing family teams (as well as teams considering adding family members) the opportunity to engage in exercises that:

  • Helps them to identify the different psychological stages individuals go through during the succession process and learn how to navigate them successfully (both retiring advisor and the successor)

  • Examines how to leverage the unique benefits of transitioning a practice to a family member

  • Helps them to identify the actions that successor leaders can take to assume leadership in the eyes of the team and the clients

  • Allows existing leaders to examine the process of exiting the team and how that changes the focus of their daily lives

  • Examines the roles of trust, communication and accountability in the transition process

  • Allows team members to practice the best methods for communicating each stage of transition to clients
